The Sorcerer
Well, my thoughts on the wizard vs Sorcerer debate... First up, spell selections: Sorcerers are locked into their spell picks on level up. Wizards can change their spells/day. Sorcerers are also locked into some of the spells they pick by their archetype. Finally, wizards are able to pick from an expanded set of spells compared to Sorcerers. Sorcerers for instance miss identify, they miss summon elemental (unless they pick the archetype that gets it). Wizards...

All physical damage dealer Party?
I do enjoy having the heals from casters, though I think you can do an all martial party if you wanted to. A cleric with the battle domain can frontline almost as well as the dedicated combat classes. You can fit one or two of those without harming your all physical damage party composition. Though having one should be sufficient if you also have a paladin and maybe a ranger. (Personally I like having a...

Thanks for the input. Question... Given Paladin-Wizard-Cleric as 3 members of the party. What would you take for the 4th? Sorcerer, Ranger, or Rogue? For my own party, I like Ranger with the lowlife background, they can handle the rogue skills and I find they handle better in combat than a Rogue. Rogues need to flank and use advantage to be effective. Rangers might not have the sneak attack damage but they can dish out...

Q on wizards and shields
It does sound like a glitch. Medium armor proficiency does not give shield proficiency, and I don't think there's any feats in Solasta that give shield proficiency. Your wizard generally just has to live without regular shields. I'm pretty sure it's by design. If your sellsword wizard could use shields they could have the same AC as your frontline fighters.

It can be good to have 2 characters with good diplomacy skills, just the way the game is structured, you may have your highest CHA character with an undesirable pick. (Maybe you want to do diplomacy but they're on intimidate instead). Though admittedly, having a high INT character to handle the INT skills helps too. You might be able to get away with having a paladin and sorcerer if you have a Rogue/Arcane Trickster with...
