Solasta Feat System
I agree there aren't many feats specifically targeted for Archers and they could use some. And Take Aim, as currently implemented, is terrible and could be so much better. That said, it can be situationally useful, like when a target is unlit and you don't have advantage to cancel it out the disadvantage. But there are some better options for feats for an Archer: Any of the Elemental Touch feats - adds PROF bonus damage...

Ranger Marksman ability: "Step Back" doesn't work?
Glad to hear. When I had a Ranger Marksman, I know I used Step Back occasionally and never had an issue. But maybe it was the large creatures you were fighting or the closed map that was creating an issue. I have seen issues with restrictive maps and other movement abilities.

Metamagic is what makes Sorcerers good. If you are not using Metamagic then you are right, they are weak Wizards. Agree. In my current multiplayer group, one player has a Half-Orc Sorcerer in Full Plate with a Greatsword. He does stuff like Twin Haste on himself and the Ranger (or Monk). He can do Lightning Bolt, then Firebolt another target. He just started using Empowered spells and while that particular metamagic is a little like...

Spellblade: Increase movement by 3 cells on your current turn when you cast a spell. I wonder how this will stack with Expeditious Retreat on the turn we cast it. Assuming we start with 6 cells movement, are we getting (6+3)x2=18 or 6x2+3=15? Either way, we gotta go fast! Dash doubles your movement including any bonuses. So, it should be 18 cells.
