Court Mage Wizard's Spell Shield no longer grants temp hp after leveling up
I finally got to a point where my Court Mage with the broken Spell Shield could level up. I took a short rest before long resting. After long resting and performing the level up, my Court Mage's Spell Shield is now able to grant temp HP again. So this bug is seems to be related to leveling up.

Copying and pasting the theory from the reddit thread. Hope it might help for the devs. I eventually was able to fix it by going back to an earlier save. I think there was a nasty little bug that triggered after I had used it on an NPC and then did a long rest to level up my wizard while the NPC was buffed with the spell shield.
