Magic missile is not following rules as written 5e SRD
Magic Missile is not an AoE. It's a spell with multiple shots, like scorching ray, but it does not need to roll to hit and uses force damage, which makes it very useful in many situations. There are a number of posts from people who recommend cheesing the game with a couple of wizards that craft lots of scrolls of magic missile rather than cast anything else. Maximum stats are not hard capped, and they probably should be at 30.
In the official rules you can't raise stats above 20 by any means other than magic like a Tome (the Barbarian capstone ability being out of scope for this game). The answer is to fix any duplication bugs and stop people getting multiple copies of an item you're really not supposed to get until you're nearly a the maximum level, well out of scope for the game.

[v1.0.15] Balance - pre-built characters with abnormally high ability scores
The game is not using point buy as the standard, it's using the main method offered in the PHB, which is 4d6 drop the worst. Then they have their racial attribute boosts added. All of those characters are easily achievable with that method. Are they a statistically average set of rolls? No. But they're a decent set of adventurers with strong primary scores, the sort you'd get if you hit reroll a few times before...

Hiding in combat failure
Later in the same fight: I was unable to target a Sorak greater than 60' away from the party because it was out of sight range ... but the creature is illuminated by the nearby torch and its initiative tracker card shows it is not in darkness, so the darkvision sight limit of 60' is not relevant. I should be able to see and target the creature.
