Some of the best Dandy computerizations are four characters or less, like Knights of the Chalice. To be fair KotC only has three classes. I also think Herr Balance is right, five is best for dandyesque RTwP. Maybe TTB too. But I love Wiz8, which is 6+2. I would say eight, but followers have a will of their own and won't go to certain areas in the game.

Baldur's Gate 3
They are trying to remake bg2 but skipping bg1 wich is what made bg2 work. In BG1 you start as a nobody and a random bear kills you in one hit. ^THIS. This is it exactly! A perfect way to describe what is wrong with BG3. Considering how some grognards reacted to Pillars of Eternity, I'm not surprised. I'm not sure if there really is a game that exudes BG1ness like Fallout "clones" and Fallout-atude...

First Impressions 3 hours in....
Many old D&D games let you "transfer your PnP character" by filling out the ability scores. They were playable with lower scores, and I'm glad to see it make a comeback. Although Pool did troll the player who maxed out all six scores of all six characters with dozens of monsters per encounter. Well, I can see why Neverwinter Nights didn't have it as an option with its multiplayer focus and all.

Resequence the Character creation process...
Getting dice first is the best way to implement rolling for stats. Second best is after race. Can always recommend what class to choose. :P I miss those rpgs, like late SSI D&D and M&M VI, where creation was like one screen. Sadly games are now made to be cinematic instead of power user friendly. Computer games are software, I know they're software, let me use them as software! Also, it's 2020 and creating multiple...
