Solasta Winter Update - Patch Notes
If you don't like the rests you can not use them. I will continue to play my action movie heroes after all if I can survive a hit from a minotaur's great axe I must be pretty tough. Agreed, for short rests but you have no choice with a long rest and you cant go without long rests. You have to take them to avoid exhaustion and regain other abilities.

Solasta Winter Update - Patch Notes
Departing from the rulebook always has unsuspected consequences so I'd avoid that. Besides, many would complain as they did for the lighting disadvantage system they implemented (although it was actually correct for D&D, it's the type of rulings DM do). I'm not sure I follow your reasoning, or to see how Pathfinder is different. Have you written "long rest" instead of "short rest"? And it's not just healing, there's the spell preparation, which is probably...

Man, was I happy to hear about what the Devs are thinking about in terms of options on difficulty settings. On the Twitch channel today they mentioned how they like options and specifically called out the resting/healing mechanic that I personally hate about 5e. I hope you guys can put something in that provides a variant rule on long rest healing. Something like Pathfinder or older versions of DnD would be perfect. Kingmaker does con...

Dev Update #25 - New Content Sneak Peek
I really hope you add the current lighting system back as a difficulty setting. I think there was a significant number of us that thought you had found a better way than 5e RAW. That and a difficulty setting for resting/healing options. The more options you can provide the more people you will draw to this game.

I love the lighting system, don't change
You can tell that the people who like the current light system do not play D&D 5, otherwise they would realize that A) there is no penalty on dim light in the rules and B) D&D 5 has a finely tuned action economy, which is ruined by constant light management. Your characters have a set amount of actions in one turn. Having to activate light sources, reapply light effects, and run after enemies who have...
