Dominion Ending Scepter Bug
FYI, after running into this bug I decided to fight my way through the redeemers. I won, but the ending cinematic was bugged. First it told me that Orenetas was dead and the citizens were in charge, and then after showing them in the throne room it appeared to hang. I'll send another save.

Wich is your favorite party?
You can take the greenmage focus on the wizard for Goodberry while not losing much from the standard wizard playbook. That would allow you to slot in something else for the ranger, probably a cleric. I'm not really that interested in optimizing myself but I took that quartet on my latest playthrough and it works rather well.

Wand of lightning bolts
The original poster had a different issue. Some items require you to attune to them during a short rest. This was previously bugged but now works for the wand. It is true that having a magical item with an ability consumes the single "use item" slot on the UI. You can, however, trigger off any equipped item by opening the the inventory and right-clicking on it.
