As for #8 you have listed... If you have the crafting ingredients and the recipe unlocked you can see what the magic item will do by clicking on it in the crafting menu and hovering over descriptor text. Here is a screenshot illustrating what I'm talking about. Agree with your advice!

Primed Weapons?
AFAIK there's no method to crafting a primed weapon. Once you've found a primed weapon you can use a Manacalon Rosary in combination with the primed weapon + an additional ingredient to craft a magical weapon/armor. Whoever is crafting must be proficient with the Manacalon Rosary, and Arcana proficiency helps (my wizard fills this need).
