Same over here, additionally it seems to getting worse on higher character levels. After finishing the main story so far, my group is at level 7 and now it feels like my group is caught sleeping 50% of the encounters, with always the same character being surprised (the one who takes 4th place on the list). Gotten sic of Magical Sleep ending my games
I do believe they need to change the mechanic of being asleep (through non magical sleep), like when the party is surprised during a camp phase. No more than one action round of sleeping through combat, I could even see a round where the previously sleeping party members are only given partial actions. Agree. At least you shouldn't have to use a main action to wake up a single character. For me the first enemy...
