So I just started playing this game about 3 months after this thread was made. I found this thread because I'm having the same issues. Even if the game isn't unbalanced/skewered in the enemy's favor, and it most like is as that's how most npc enemies are designed. But even if it isn't, the fact that so many people are still thinking there's foul play, means the developers need to go back to the drawing board. Also, explain to people what they need to roll on each hit to succeed.

Though, switching to the difficulty to Explorer Mode has seemed to solve the problem for me so far, but we'll see as a I progress. I'd like them to explain dice rolls and what I need to roll. Because not all video game players play tabletop games

I'm guessing that the OP was having issues on a harder difficulty where the enemies got a bonus to their saves (on Cataclysm I believe it is +3). Maybe earlier versions included that modifier in the rolls. Since the poster above me mentioned that the problem went away when changing to a lower difficulty, I'm inclined to believe that is the problem.

Most people just don't understand how statistics works. Thus, many CRPGs rig die roles in player's favour so that it seems more intuitively "right": if you make a lot of bad rolls, it rigs it so you are more likely to make good rolls. Solasta's random rolls are as random as the computer's RNG - no reason why anyone in their right mind would code it to cheat!

I played about 80 hours in the main campaign recently, with my settings at pure random and no extra bonuses to enemies nor me.

It seemed normally random to me in over 80 hours of play.
Of course, failing hard is memorable, but my tabletop experience has me habituated to low rolls.  Truth be told, enemy AC is not high in Solasta (rarely over 18), so my characters with +8 to +12 to hit (even with Standard Array Abilities) were hitting almost all the time.

But it is always possible that a particular setting screw up the RNG (i.e. a bug).  I saw no issues with my settings anyhow.
