Will there be an editor to create dungeons and maps. Could we run "D&D" with it

and for a smallish, fairly new indie to overtly invite such; would probably pout a quick end to this game/realm. I think folks need to temper their expectations and remember when Bethesda first put out Arena. How buggy, convoluted that game was. It was ES III, Morrowind, before we in the gaming community had modding tools for ES.

Not really you are still getting really close to if not down right infringing on WoTC copyright with taking classes straight from the pbh and playing word games with other concepts. What you are suggesting is basically a lawsuit waiting to happen WoTC is not know for being lenient with people that want to try and over step they SRD.

But, look at Sylvan Archer feat, it takes some hints from Sharpshooter feat. You also admit that. Right? If you're right about WotC, that shouldn't be allowed by WotC. Isn't it? I'm sure TA communicated with WotC before launching EA so I think that kind of homebrewing might be allowed, and I was curious how much homebrewing would be fine.

But well, I also agree there's no clear line in this issue. Better safe than sorry is always the best in copyright issues.

Everyone please just relax. Look at the tabletop rpg module designers who design around the 5e SRD which gives a base ruleset to design around and you can take massive liberties with new content , homebrew rules, etc. Just so long as you don't step on proprietary content from WOTC. That is never allowed. No beholders folks.

Look at the Kickstarter for this game. Tactical Adventures had a physical rewards option for a tabletop version of Solasta. They have designed their own world, lore, monsters, feats, archetypes, etc. Please respect this artistic vision and enjoy this new world.

If Tactical Adventures partners and licenses the engine to 3rd parties who want to design modules for use in Solasta, that would be amazing down the road. I will probably pay for all the DLC and only wish this studio and product all the success it can handle

For now, let's give them our trust, let them finish and deliver and if the monetary success is there, us gamers can enjoy the resulting content down the road.

I happen to like their direction and originality.

I think it would be crazy not to allow fan-made adventures/campaigns. A creation toolkit for modding is a prerequisite imo.. This game would never end if communities had tools to make their own campaigns..

And not to be condecending to these devs, but a lot of people know how to mod unity and are devs themselves these days.. No need to say its too complex many know the tools.
