Tools for campaign creation

I would be interested in helping with creating more campaigns and content for the game. I know it is in early access, just curious if there will be a toolset for this purpose.

Hey there, they said 'if i'm not wrong' that a tool will be on board if money goes well after the release. Correct me if i'm wrong anyone.

I think lot of players want this feature as this game is fitting the idea very well. Solasta can became a real solid licence in future if community is allowed to help that way. Fingers crossed. but if any dev read this : know that i'm totally open to give you more money for a dlc which would include the campaign editor (as some other games do.)

And if I may, if this editor might have some feeling of the Aurora Engine (of neverwinter nights) it would be perfect, powerfull and user friendly enough... Would love that. <3

I would totally purchase a DLC that had this feature.  TBH, I'm planning on buying any DLC for this game period. I would love to see WotC give out option of making the official campaigns or modules onto this platform but I don't see that happening.

Well, we all know they will not create any modding tool or dungeon editor at least until the full release of this game. They already declared this in the previous QnA. The first DLC would be Sorcerer DLC. Considering the low budget and manpower of TA, this is very understandable.

But I wish they do this option after full release if the game is successful and earn them enough resources to invest. I would prefer this over multi or any other modules.

Meanwhile, if you really wish to see such features, you could invest some time and $ for this game. Write a review from Steam and/or GOG or other platforms, and purchase multiple supporter edition copies and gift them to your friend. I already purchased 3 copies of the supporter edition, one for me, and two as a gift to friends. Not a huge deal but this is something I can do. You could do the same.

Now that the kickstarter is over, what other ways besides buying the game are there to help drive funding to make an editor tool a reality? This game has so much potential to scratch an itch that CRPGs have never been able to scratch.

No joke. I haven’t felt like this since NWN1 and I played that to death. And the modding community was simply amazing. I hope this game will reach similar heights.

I’m going to buy a copy for my son. He doesn’t know about the game but he likes D&D. Anything to support this team.

I was about to say, I played the heck out of NWN1 and used its creation tools extensively. And now with the rising popularity of Roll20 and similar platforms, digital tabletop is a bigger deal than ever; I think a paid DLC with campaign creation tools would be lit.

I'm sure TA has way too much on their plate at the moment, but I would definitely support a toolkit if they ever consider making one down the road. My two wishes are that and some kind of Infinite Dungeons / roguelite DLC that lets you keep adventuring on and on with all kinds of different parties.

i would love this, where most couldnt see it in SCL, i envisioned the future of what was to come

here's hoping to TA can bring it home. Nspace was already dying Dan came in to try and save them, i (and probably he) just didn't know it yet.

with each Dlc comes monsters and a tile pack, TA drop a campaign to purchase now and then and race and class packs as dlc.

= shut up and take my money (sets up direct debit account with TA)

Well that's probably not a good idea.

Because then it means anyone who created anything with the DLC content would not have many people able to download and play it because the assets would be missing on the client side for those who didn't.

It would cut the community in half... those who have it and those who don't. That kind of thing kills off a modding and player community too. The two go hand in hand. Players and Creators. The Dungeon Maker Creators are only one aspect of it... the second is the playerbase that downloads the modules that are created.

So they'd have to come up with some way for the assets to be viewable for anyone who did not download it.

If for example... they did create professional level modules like old D&D content and then release the actual assets to everyone's client that would work. Since only the module itself would be restricted to those who bought the content. That is an example that would not hurt the modding and player community both.
