Spellblade missing Arcana Proficiency

I created a pre-gen Spellblade character that clearly shows proficiency with Arcana. Looking at him now in my current game he is no longer proficient in Arcana?
Character is currently at 4th level.  I'd only noticed as I intended for this character to do crafting and can't without the proficiency flagged properly.

Spellblade doesn't get Arcana by itself.  You either need to select it yourself (and you can only do that as a half-elf) during character generation or take the Academic background.  Choosing any other background won't give you Arcana.

If you choose the Academic background, then you can craft as a Spellblade (I've done this).

So yeah... Academic background or Half-elf and choose Arcana.  Those are your only options for getting the skill as a Fighter (Spellblade or not).

Thanks Chris, guess I'll park this save and wait until someone releases a Character Editor to address the issue. I'm not super familiar with 5e, so my misunderstanding that Spellblades get Arcana by default is on me. Appreciate the response.
Read some online D&D 5e wiki's earlier that said Spellblades could take Arcana as a skill during Character Creation, so this leaves me confused because you would think this would be correct.
There are other similar games that offer an in-game respect at an NPC. Doubt that will happen here, but sure would be handy to correct a gimped hero.
