Solasta combat is so good

Im huge fan of isometric RPGs and being 40 years old I have been playing them since de 90s. I can say that, without a doubt, Solasta combat is one of the best ever IMO.

And why is one of the best? Because the devs decided to stick with the basic, but a very well done basic. Its ok for games to try something new, but usually the devs end up not finding that perfect balance betewen chalenge and fun. In Solasta, Im always excited for the next combat, so I want to say congrat Devs!

I hope Solasta become a sucess so Tactical Adventures can make improvements on the next games (the story, dialogs, cutscenes, character models in Solasta are ok-ish/bad). Im sure that with a bigger team and budget, Solasta II can be a true classic.

Keep the good work TA!

Agreed 100%.  I'm the same age and have also been playing these type of games since Ultima IV and the Gold Box D&D games.  The UI is clean, clear and simple with everything you need to do organized so perfectly on the screen.  Also the information like lines of sight, attack of opportunity warning, information on advantage / disadvantage (and why), cover bonuses, warning about casting a concentration spell when you are already concentrating on something, etc is all great.  I also love how they perfectly implemented reaction spells like shield or counter spell, smites, and attacks of opportunity.

As if all that is not enough they also gave us the beginnings of a great dungeon maker which will ensure the community will be able to create unlimited free adventures to continue the fun while we wait for the next dlc or official campaign.

This is a game to be very proud of and I can't wait to see what they do next!

Wizards of the Coast should erect a statue to TA.
Not only the game is good but it also proves that the DnD 5e ruleset works well in an automated environment.

The combat is unbelievably good. Little twists such as prompts to use your shield to block the attack or smite make so much sense that you start wondering why others haven't done it like that. I seriously hope they sell enough of the base game to justify a DLC or two :)

Would prefer the animation to speed up a bit, but overall the combat is good.
