PLEASE tell me the characters are saved to STEAM cloud and I wont lose the ones I have already created in the EA game.

This is actually something that needs to be addressed before full release. Getting a new computer, CAN'T mean, losing your party.

even a simple save folder on the localized PC would work. A person could then simply copy that to a flash drive, and then insert it in the new game installation.
I am not sure I understand. Did you try to locate your character and save files in the other installation?
The short way to do this is to input %AppData% in your file explorer adress bar, move up on step to "LocalLow", and then go down to Tactical Adventures/Solasta. You will find your save and character files there, which you can copy to the other computer.
