Rumour control: full game launch will allow us to keep and play our latest pre-launch saves?

Over at the Steam forums there are posts claiming that we can keep and play our latest pre-launch saves with the 1.0 full release version of the game.  Is this true?

Yes, the devs have made a direct statement to that fact.
They are keeping the saved games compatible. BUT they also recommend starting a new game, as it is unknown whether the save will be bugged at launch due to version differences, and there will be content you might miss if you play your old save.

Yep. A side of me would like to continue with my current party, BUT it is wiser to start from scratch for the reasons you mention (new side quests and story improvements), plus differences in loot, salvaging, faction relations, etc.

I'm planning on starting over with a new game when the full game releases, but I do like the idea of not having to. Hopefully there will be an expanded character creator and option to skip tutorial.

Typos happen. More so on the phone.

Yes, please do give us the option to skip the turotorial/indiviudal adventures at the beginning if we've already played through them a few times

on the bright side if you dial the settings all the way in the easy mode direction you can beat the grey wolf, not that it does you any good you still need to destroy that beautiful natural bridge the planet took 1000's of years to form, alas
