The initial impression of Lost Valley is really good overall, but I have to be frank and say that the random encounter thing needs to be fixed. I just ran into a Young Black Dragon at level 4. Half my party instantly died to its acid breath. Some encounters shouldn't be possible to run into below certain levels.

Can't believe how even a party composed entirely of top-notch crack Rangers can end up being surprised whilst encamped.... is this a bug?
Just ran into a Crimson Spider with 3 Spiderlings helping it... at level 4. That's a CR 5 creature and 3 CR 2 creatures, meaning the game decided to toss a CR 11 encounter against a level 4 party. No mods and regular 27 point buy characters.
@Tactical_Myzzrym Is there a chance we can get a rebalance of the random encounters at low level? Between this and the dragon I ran into before, it is getting absurd how unfair things get.

I think if the party makes it to a zone exit they can get away.
They can't. At least we haven't found a way to 'activate' the zone to let us leave. Putting all 4 characters in a zone does nothing.
