Question: what happens if I subscribe to my own DM ? (Steam Workshop versus local version)

Greetings all, 

I am tempted to subscribe to my own DM for testing, but I am of course afraid of what that might do to my current local version of the DM (which is different/updated).

Will the Steam Workshop version of my DM crush / overwrite my local version ?  Or are they treated as two separate items (two different folders or names) ?

nb: about testing. I of course test using the New Adventure menu, but importing from the Workshop could have slight coding changes notably with a recent DLC issue, and might give a different test result.  I have a few players reporting a "missing DLC" error though my Workshop DM (also on Nexus) is from Dec. 2021.
