When playing through the Family Reckoning questline, there are only two interactables: the door to the farmhouse and the small cart. Inside the farmhouse there's nothing to search, read, explore, or otherwise interact with and the cart just has a few items to loot that don't seem to do anything. The quest suggests that there's something to investigate, but so far there's nothing that you can interact with to investigate. I've tried short resting there. I've traveled between the Farmhouse and Copperan multiple times. Nothing works. Maybe there's something I'm missing, but this is the first time I've encountered something like this in the game, where there are clear instructions of what you're being prompted to do and nothing to actually do on the map.
Found the same issue. Researching this quest, I found that the area in the fireplace is supposed to be an interactable. It is not for me. Tried to use Dimension Door to enter the area behind the fireplace, and it put me just beyond it, unable to move any further.
Same for me, no interactable object near the fireplace, yet one of the characters had a pop-up "object revealed" or something like that.
