QoL Looting and Light

First: Love the game

So after a battle, I run around looting bags, barrels and chests. However, with the often rather large encounter areas (which are great), I sometimes forget what bags I have looted (they remain unless I take all). Could we get a different colour for lootables, that we have already accessed?

Also, I love how stealth can often be translated into setting up an encounter - however, I fail to find a way to end my light spells before enganging in stealth. Could you implement such feature, or highlight it if it is already there?

The loot is not always easy to spot either, you have to remember where the enemies have fallen. It seemed to me there was a little ping / circle effect around the loot when it hadn't been opened yet? I'll have to check again.

I left a few things for the Scavengers, to see how it plays out when I come back. I think this idea is pure genius!

I wonder if the loot is collected by the plunderer you met in the start city. Maybe they do the job for you since you can´t carry much either.....

That's how I understood it (what I said in my post), but I have yet to find out.

Here's the effects on loot that has been visited and that hasn't (never saw a forum that was so painful for images, I won't do that everyday...).

Perhaps it needs to be a bit more obvious... my old eyes did not catch it.

I am greedy and try to snag loot as soon as I can thought rarely in battle.  Some times when its dark the bags are a little harder to see so some sparkle or even a button you can hold/toggle to auto highlight loot like in the Infinity Engine games would help a lot.  My eyes aren't too old yet but I can see some issues others can have.

I don't believe the Scavengers are implemented in Early Access but that would be nice when they do...unless they auto sell that +1 sword you recovered...lol.

if mobs die on blocks or above "ground" level they dont seem to drop loot or it goes beneath the terrain.

If you press Alt it highlights all intractable, though it's rough to tell what you missed and didn't miss. Helps me find loot that I completely missed.

Hi all,

All those are valid points, and indeed we are missing a system for the Scavengers, as well as improving the looting dropped items. Working on that is one of our priorities.

While were talking about loot drops, perhaps you all could see about having the inventory screen automatically close when the take button is pressed, or maybe adding a loot all button to the loot container in the off chance that players actually want the inventory to stay open after looting a chest or container.

I would like to see the scavengers auto-sell generic items left laying around but if you happen to miss a magical item they bring it up to you to reclaim it.

As far as locating loot on the ground can they just have it highlight the same way chests and other interactable objects do when you press alt?

Yes, please. My eyesight is horrible and it's so annoying having to drag the mouse around the screen looking for loot bags.

I wonder if it would be technically feasible to keep the bodies present until they have been looted.  Right now they seem to fade away almost immediately.
