Please either stop auto-equipping loot or make it a toggle in the settings

My character is using a pretty good versatile weapon. I want to keep his off-hand empty to use it in 2H mode but trash weapons and shields keep getting auto-equipped in there. In addition, attuneable items that I want to sell (because all my characters have 3 better items attuned) keep getting equipped into jewellery slots when and then I miss the chance to sell them at a vendor.

This feature causes more problems than it solves. Please let us turn it off.

Totally agree. The auto-equip does not even help new players, because it is downright confusing.  Instead of being a helpful feature, some new players end-up wondering why an item they transferred to another character seems to have disappeared :P (based off comments I see on Discord and forum)

I would add this "feature" would be especially problematic with cursed items... Items should never be auto-equipped.

I would absolutely toggle off auto-equip.  There's been a few times I didn't realize I picked an item up becuase it auto slotted onto my character,  But the worst is when my Paladin's magic two-hand sword is replaced by two base scimitars.  What the actual hell?

1000% this.

It's incredibly frustrating when playing a Shadowcaster that you try to cast a spell and find out that the character decided to randomly equip a non-magical dagger that you now have to cancel the spell, go into your inventory, manually unequip the dagger, then try again.

What's even more odd is that the character will equip non-light weapons like longswords, maces, etc. that can't be dual-wielded without a feat.

It also feels odd that characters using non-versatile two-handed weapons (melee and ranged) can still cast spells that have a somatic component. I always thought that wizards could only cast spells wielding a two-handed weapon if it was versatile, not sure if this is a new ruling for Solasta or an oversight.

10,000% this, thank you for requesting! Broken anti-feature that makes the game unplayable for some builds.

May as well start over if you made the same mistake I did, and chose a battlewizard that casts with a versatile weapon... EVERY time you loot an off-hand-equipable item you have to then unequip it at the start of the next battle sequence.

You can disable auto equip with https://www.nexusmods.com/solastacrownofthemagister/mods/83

Impressive mod or rather bug fixes !  Well done.  It might help TA if they notice it.

I like that each change is an option that can be turned on/off, though hopefully most of these things will be fixed in vanilla at some point.
