Sometime when I pick a 4th personality one disappears and the language box is there, other times all 4 show and the language box is gone. How does this work?

I've had starting items disappear also. Was doing well and decided to start crafting when I noticed 1/2 or more of the crafting stuff I gathered was gone, who knows what else was gone.

This happens in character creation. There are 4 boxes but 5 potential things that should go in there. 4 personalities and 1 language, so how do they all fit? What happens to the one that disappears? How is one chosen to be removed?
Anyone from EA know?
