Party Spacing Suggestion

1 week ago (edited)

It's maybe not possible, but it would be great if you could have the rest of the party follow automatically if you were scouting ahead with a single character. Maybe give them an order to follow 10 squares back so you don't have to skip back and forward between the two groups. I think you'd create a better feeling of suspense if you could focus on one character creeping through the dark without having to go back and move the rest along behind them.

That is a very good idea! It would make it a lot easier just keeping focus on the scout up ahead knowing that the rest of the party is following as you say 10 squares back.

That could mean setting some party formation.
Keeping the scout ahead by 10 squares.
Having the party walk in a row.
Having the party in a small cluster as they move in stealth mode.
Etc.

This is a great idea! And true to the Tabletop feel!

Good party formation is key to achieving victory.

I'm with Khorgan, being able to create a variety of Party Formations based on our party makeup and situation would be Ideal.  This is something the Divinity: Original Sin series got very right!

Party formation is in the design, while not in the demo.

Obviously this is a very common feature and everyone wants it :)
