I had a hard time getting this spell to work. It often would heal for 0, or it healed for max even though I selected a specific amount.
Example: Level 3 Paladin cast lay on hands on a low HP fighter - I choose 5 HP to heal, it spends 15.

I have also had this happen to me before, but at level 2. My Paladin is now level 5 and I haven't had this bug again so I am unsure of what causes it.
