Palace of Ice locks up with loading from a Solasta campaign

Tried it multiple times vs starting with new characters, and when I do a Palace of Ice game importing my game where I beat the original campaign it's locking up at the loading screen after the campfire at Stenvaag Bridge.  It looks like part of the difference might be I get tutorials with new characters but not with the import?
