I just recently purchased the game. It's been really enjoyable. One of my favorite things since NWN1 has been the creation of differing parties with a variety of character builds. So that's what I've been doing. But really the tutorial is killing me. There is really no reason to do anything before Caer Lem. Drop us at 2nd level in Caer Cyflen or Caer Lem.
In searching for a fix for this there are numerous posts to be found asking for this very thing. Some as early as the Beta.
There were a few places that had a link to a Nexus page. That mod has apparently been pulled. I have the CE2 mod set. Unfortunately it does not contain this option. (One of the more frustrating things I've found is people saying there is a mod for this and then leaving no name or link to said mod.)
TA has been really great about adding dlc's with new content. Having seen this it really assured me that they were actively involved in continuing to maintain this game. Even the unannounced 8.2gb download as unpleasant as it may have been for many reassured me that TA is still actively engaged with the growth of this game.
Yet this request has been made over and over and over. Still nothing that I can find to help.
What exactly do you mean?
Because when I create a new game there is a checkbox for "skip intro" in the lower right of the game creation.
Or are you talking about something different?
You've made me realize my view of intro and that of other players is different. I kept thinking of the intro as the prologue up to Caer Lem.
Since this is not what everyone else was thinking it explains a lot. Like why the mod on Nexus was taken down and why I could never find any further info on this question. it's because the issue everyone was having was resolved.
Having said all that I suppose the Skip Tutorial is a good compromise and that I was experiencing an issue no one else had with the prologue.

The change was made official during the Primal Calling DLC release Nov. 4, 2021
(as a free feature of course. The DLC is not required: if so, that would be a bug).
