NO sound at all, but ONLY with this game!

Hey, as the title states, this is the only game on my PC that has no sound now. Every other game has sound, and websites with videos have sound, but not Solasta. I've uninstalled, verified the files, messed with sound settings and frankly, I'm pissed off at this point. I don't get it! I have posted in the Discord bug-report section and one person has been trying to help, but it's not worked either.

While I haven't had issues with Solasta, I did have issues with another game, but only that game (like this situation).

It turned out ASUS Sonic Studio was causing the problem. Uninstalled that, and everything worked.

I would check to see if you have any manufacturer freeware or other programs that might be controlling the audio in the background.

I will try that! Thanks for your response.

My wife and I have tried looking into it, we can't find anything similar. We've turned off other things, but it's not having the same effect as you did. My wife is wondering how you came to your conclusion, if you don't mind typing it out, @JeSuiLePamplemous?

Giving it a few more days to see if anything changes, but seriously thinking this is a lost cause. I'm not exaggerating when saying we have tried EVERYTHING that we can think of. Have spent most of last night and off and on all day today trying different things, nothing changes. Some changes make it where the game crashes all the time, others change nothing at all. It is REALLY appreciated that you tried to help though!

Very simply I was having the exact same issue you described but with Klei's Oxygen Not Included. Every other game I played the audio was working correctly. Everything else with Oxygen Not Included was working.

First I did everything you mentioned- verifying game files- uninstalling then reinstalling- and nothing changed. I tried reinstalling/updating drivers- nothing changed. I thought maybe it was something to do with the audio jack- unplugged headphones and tried the laptop's speakers- no change. I then noticed that Sonic Studio was controlling my audio like an interface (It had various audio profiles you could choose for each program). I tried changing the profile, no change. I deleted Sonic Studio, and suddenly the audio worked.

Something with Sonic Studio clearly wasn't jiving with how the program was pushing audio. I didn't look into it any further because my issue was fixed.

Have you played Solasta with the volume working before?

I hate to be that guy- but I'm assuming you've checked that your drivers are up to date?

If so, is windows picking up the audio levels from Solasta in the mixer? (the green bars in the picture below)

If windows IS picking up the audio levels, I would suggest maybe trying a different audio output? Checking that windows has the correct audio output/hardware is selected?

I would suggest copying your saves, then doing a clean install of Solasta as well.

If none of that works- then. Well. I don't know. Could be a weird quirk with your specific setup and Solasta? Maybe someone else might have more insight to share on the subject.

It finally decided to start working. Still not sure what happened, but it works now. Really confused, but thanks for your help! :)

Yes, the volume worked fine in the past, until the other day and don't worry about asking questions. hehe. When I say I tried EVERYTHING, I meant everything hehe. I'm still confused on what happened, but think my son may have been on a website that he shouldn't have been. Never had anyone try to hack my PC and the day this happened, there were 54K attempts to hack into it. Not sure that had something to do with it, but not ruling it out either. Just damn excited it's working again! :)
