The Cloak and Dagger (+2 AC after hitting with a Light weapon) feat is great for Monks that tank and use a Shortsword (Light, Finesse, Monk) as their primary weapon.

It's also really good for anyone who dual wields. Defensive features, especially ones that are consistent, tend to be very good. More survivability tend to mean less time spent healing or repositioning, which means more time to deal damage.

Has anyone figured out why they added Forestalling Strength (+1 AC with a 2H weapon) when they already have Armor Master (+1 AC with any armor)?  Is this to potentially stack the two feats?  It seems like Forestalling Strength should be better than Armor Master (+2 AC with a 2H weapon or possible +1 STR/+1 AC w/ 2H weapon) to distinguish it from Armor Master.  Unless I'm missing something?

They should stack, so I guess that's the benefit? I dunno, I like having fighting style feats, but some of them are clearly better than others. Cloak and Dagger giving +2 when you hit an enemy with a light weapon is a similar, but much more useful alternative for dual wielders.

Of course, with Follow Up Strike, 2h weapons were always fine in Solasta. Dual wielding is also fine as long as 2h doesn't have really powerful feats, since they do similar dmg and dw can use dex as a primary stat, allowing for melee+ranged on the same character. 1h strength exclusive full sized weapons are the ones who really needed a buff. And I don't remember them getting anything worth using.

True.  Really only Distracting Gambit (-1 AC on the target for 1 min).  But this rewards hitting multiple melee targets instead of focusing one down so I doubt I would ever take this over something else.   The Elemental Touch feats are also nice and can be used with 1H or 2H weapons.  The real benefit of using a 1H weapon is you can use a Shield, so have a higher AC than a 2H weapon wielder.

But you can use a shield with a dex weapon, making the str one mostly useless due to the ranged combat versatility.
