More color options within races

Hey guys. I saw this somewhere else, wanted to chime in. Any hope of being able to create an elf or half elf where the analog isn’t from a white person? I read the response to a question like this earlier. It won’t come close to blackface if you have darker skin options (brown)and legitimate “black hair” (fades, faux hawks, curly fades) options and ears are pointy. I mean who said elves have to be blond haired or white skinned in the first place? Even if you did elves that had blue skin options, same thing would work. A blue skinned elf or even a drow’s facial features and hair don’t HAVE to be based only on white features. If it’s not something you guys would do, if you could point me in the direction of the files that I would need to mod to try this myself, it would be much appreciated.

Don't worry we heard the community's feedback. All I can tell you is: We're working on it^^

Well I'm disappointed.  I wanted to play a game where the people who design the game base it upon the lore of whoever's world is the basis for the game. Not on the opinion of anyone who decides the lore needs to be changed to fit their personal want. I understand money talks so I guess " it is what it is"   Oh well, I'll still get the game and play it. For those who think that makes me a hypocrite so be it. Stay ignorant. I'm just disappointed.

I understand what you are saying, and to some extent I agree, but, if I am not mistaken, the lore is their own, so if they see a point in the community feedback and decide therefore to adjust a few things without adulterating their world, I do not see any harm in that. They said, quoting : "We're working on it", the way I read that, it might mean they are thinking about a subtle way to introduce options that aim to content their community (because yes, in that bussiness, as in many others, if the money does not talk, the bussiness will not walk) while remaining consistent and faithful to their lore. I, for one, would (an do) wait to see what they do regarding that before being disappointed (or satisfied, for that matter).

I appreciate your honesty. I wonder if enough people asked for/demanded that they also have blue -skinned people option if we could get that as well? I know most people would say but there ARE people of darker color but none with blue skin. Actually, there were and probably still are some "blue people" in the back woods of Appalachia.  I'm not trying to be argumantative I just don't like change to appease the masses and especially not to appease the minority (any minority) justbecause they "want" something, just as I don't believe the majority should call all the shots ( there is a time and a place for majority rules AND for when things should be accepted by people because it is what has been chosen by the author or designer or composer.)  At the same time I'm willing to admit that I am a nobody in the grand scheme of things and I'm ok with that. So. . . . there ya go lol.

Then again, perhaps they are not bending to a minority's will, maybe they just thought that is a good idea that they failed to have in the first place. Improvements come from gathering, and, if needed, confronting ideas, but never from dismissing them outright. The very fact that TA choose to release open demo and collect feedback from it shows their intent, from the beginning, to use feedback in their building of the game, which does not mean every and any idea will be incoporated and they'll let the game take any direction, but it means there are flexibilities in some areas of the development of the game, and they are humble enough to think that they may not have everything just right all by themselves. Well, I am extrapolating a bit here, granted, but it seems more like that, from what I see, than like "we don't know what to do and we will bend to everyone's will just to make the sales".

So it makes sense, in that optic, that community feedback has an impact on some aspects of the games, it is the intended goal.

Also, love the trivia of the blue people !
