It has been mentioned in the Early Access and I want to bring it up again; Rogues seem to need a little something to be attractive choices when competing with characters like Lowlife Rangers. In the interest of that, here is an older suggestion of mine. This won't do anything to help Thief or Darkweaver (unless they're High Elves), but it will help Shadowcasters.
Frozen Strike
Cantrip: Wizard, Spellblade, [spell feat?]
Effect: Make a melee weapon attack as part of this cantrip, dealing damage as normal. If the attack hits, you inflict 'Hindered*' on the enemy. At levels 5, 11 and 17, your attack gains an additional 1d8 cold damage.
*-2 movement. Same seconday effect as Ray of Frost.
**Lvl 5 means +1d8 on the attack, lvl 11 means 2d8 etc.
Shadow Strike
Cantrip: Wizard, Shadowcaster, [spell feat?]
Effect: Make a melee weapon attack as part of this cantrip, dealing damage as normal. If the attack hits, you inflict 'shocked*' on the enemy. At levels 5, 11 and 17, your attack gains an additional 1d8 psychic damage.
*Prevents reactions. Same seconday effect as Shocking Grasp.
**Lvl 5 means +1d8 on the attack, lvl 11 means 2d8 etc.
Sacred Strike
Cantrip: Cleric, [spell feat?]
Effect: Make a weapon attack as part of this cantrip, dealing damage as normal. If the attack hits, you inflict 'Shine*' on the enemy unless they make a Wis save. At levels 5, 11 and 17, your attack gains an additional 1d8 radiant damage.
*Casts the Shine spell on the target, making them into a source of Light. Maybe give them a saving throw on their round instead of against the effect?
**Lvl 5 means +1d8 on the attack, lvl 11 means 2d8 etc.
Typos happen. More so on the phone.
