Hi,

MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019), 2,4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9, 32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4, Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB, BigSur 11.5

I started playing Solasta with steam. I created all 4 characters myself. I finished the prologues of the characters. Party spoke to Lord Carras. And Macbook shuts down (crashing) after a while on loading screen of first task. I also verified integrity on Steam. My Solasta version is 1.2.10 w.

I need helps, thanks

Hi!

From the specs you shared in the first post, it looks like your computer is slightly below the minimal specs, which could explain why the game is so unstable and crashes your Mac.

We're currently investigating to find other performance related issues for Mac

I bought it without worry because it says "Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system" in MacOS system requirements on Steam. Thank you for your interest.

Hey there, Folks -

Can you post your HW like OP exodas did? I'm curious as to the specific Mac HW configurations people are using. While I've got a new MBP on the way, I am currently running Solasta on the following (very outdated Mac from mid-2014!):

Model Name:    MacBook Pro

  Model Identifier:    MacBookPro11,3

Processor Name:    Quad-Core Intel Core i7

  Processor Speed:    2.8 GHz

  Number of Processors:    1

  Total Number of Cores:    4

L2 Cache (per Core):    256 KB

  L3 Cache:    6 MB

  Hyper-Threading Technology:    Enabled

  Memory:    16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Graphics:   NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2 GB

                   Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB

Whenever I run into an issue loading Solasta, as soon as I get to the launcher where you can select "Continue," "Load," "Settings," etc., I

first go into settings and set the resolution to as low as possible; for me, it's at 1280 X 800 with Shadows off, all post-processing off, etc.,

and see whether the game loads at the lower resolution.

Most of the time, that will get the game to load and I can then up the resolution and graphics settings to the limits of what my system can

handle. With respect to the last update (before the fix!) downgrading to the previous beta worked for me.

Optimization of performance is a whole other issue - but there are parts of Solasta where even with my antiquated laptop I can comfortably

hit 30-45 fps. Just not in large, open areas or crossheads random encounters, lol.

Hope that helps!
