So far this bug has only happened in this area.
It happens in almost all battles if I don't manage to reduce the enemy numbers quick enough.
I had to skip the acid spiders as I could not kill quick enough.
It happens on the fire elements and skeletons but I managed to kill those eventually.
I am currently trying the fire spiders and fire drakes but I need to go camp to speed up my kills.
So in all its happened say 15 times, the game shows enemy attack and then nothing.
It does not lock or freeze and I can open menus etc.

I'm so confused by this, thought I've seen everything. Where is the Lava Forest and what triggers the area (background story, open area you can explore, etc.)? Thanks!
It took me a while to find it, you have to pan far left of the map to see a rocky area.
It is part of the main story gem quest.
The battle pause issue seems to have followed me so I will try uninstalling and trying again whilst someone looks at the issue.

So I uninstalled and re-installed, used the same save game and 1st go it worked properly.
Treat this as the fix unless I post back the problem has re-appeared.

Darn, im in a beetle battle and same thing so its not fixed.
Something is causing the battle sequence by the mobs to lock.

Ok, I have three saved games on the latest patch, with level 7-8 characters depending upon the run. In each game, I have the quest "Find the Volcano" but I can't find this volcano to save my life!
I see the compass in the middle of the Badlands, but no volcano. Can someone please screenshot the volcano location?
The map is confusing it shows fog at the edges. This gives impression that's the edge. BUT there is more after the left hand side fog.

Is it farther "left" than the compass on the map?
I'm running 2560 x 1440 resolution, and tried every window mode in options, but can't go past the fog lying just left of the compass. Driving me crazy... thanks for any help/guidance.
I have recorded the screen map but showing it is probably going to be against kickstarter rules.
So I had a look at the map and its like 2 pages next to each other.
The right is the start area with green and the left page is grey.
This has the compass you mentioned so I think you are on that page, if you can not see the lava forest icon on the screen (top half of left page) then either the quest hasn't started or the game has bugged out for you.
I don't think however adding this picture of quest name I am on is giving anything away but it shows you what quest you need to see the lava forest and volcano

I have played the game and had more big battles and seems more stable now.
There was a big patch just which mentions some issues which may have caused this.
