Is there a way to "wait" - to rest until sunset or evening?

Don't see any way to do that except clumsily through the long rest feature

AFAIK there is no way to control how long are short rests and long rests. When it's not during the world travel, there is an indication on how long it will be but it is not very clear (and the indication quickly disappears for the long rest unfortunately).

But is it necessary?
