Is the character design final?!

I'm enjoying the game a lot, however....

The characters are... too ugly, especially the faces, and even the body balance seems so so.

I might just ignore it, but I can't because the game is throwing those faces in close shots during dialogues, etc.

I totally understand that you are understaffed but the character designs don't do justice to the gorgeous environment. Please polish them during or after early access.

In addition in the cutscenes, when they speak, there´s some color in their mouth (orange, white,...) which looks really odd...

Is the character design final? I hope not.

So I made up a party of Halflings. Even with three different head models they all look virtually identical. Adding a different color hair and skin can't do enough to change this.

A height scaler might be in order.

Why can't I make a more buff looking Halfling? There are sliders on some races that do this, but not the halfling, nor can I do this with the high elf I made. A lot of the wee folk are portly you know.

Let me add another vote to re-visit the character design. I'm ugly in real life. In a fantasy setting, please at least let me be good-looking.

On a more serious note, please take a look at the ratio of head to body. It looks like the head is too big compared to the body.

Also, please let us zoom in and out during character creation. When I use the physique slider, I want to see how it affects my entire body, not just the top half of it. While we're on the topic of sliders, more of those would be great.

I will also add a vote that if possible, even if after release, adding additions head/looks would be nice. As other's said a lot of the character face/head options look similar and it feels like I have less options then the typical *insert fantasy rpgs character creator here options*.  I still really love the game and having a blast, it just would be nice to add a little bit on uniqueness to the characters we lovingly craft for our adventures.

This is what character creation should be like:-

Shame it's for the Unreal engine and not Unity (the engine Solasta uses).

Also if there could be more choices for the voices, or a way to modify the voices suggested? Some of the ones given just are far too deep bass for some characters I want to have more of a baritone without going for the squeaky tenor option.

I was rolling a new party the other day and a passing friend stated, "Is that a half-orc?"

My response, "No, just a half-fugly human."

I would add : more shadows or some forms of occlusion would make the cut-scenes feel more immersive or "real".

or at least, at a MINIMUM, a female voice audio for the Female Voice 3 selection.

I definitely would like a few more options for faces and hair and at least one or two more voice options. I personally put the voice options at highest priority.

TA, I know you can do it.  Your environments are gorgeous.  I know you have good artists.  Please polish up the faces and character models in general.  Some give me that "uncanny valley" feel.

The environments are quite nice looking, but the character models are seriously lacking.  I know every person isn't an amazing beauty, but neither is every person sadly ugly.  This area needs some very serious work.

i think the graphics and voices are fine, i'm hoping they focus on content and tactics.   of course the last time i played a video game was 20 years ago with the original baldur's gate.  heck i'm running solasta at the minimum graphics settings to consume less electricity, though i'm a bit of hypocrite as i can't really justify replaying it five time now

Just downloaded this game today, but I have yet to advance beyond the character creation screen for reasons mentioned above lol

I don't have the highest of high expectations to be blown away by the faces, but for the human models at least I'd expect more.

Options that are sorely missing right now would be like some short hairstyles including shaved or bald for males, and more pony, bun and updo hairstyles for females. More variety in beards and cosmetics. Some different noses, jawlines, and cheekbone heights for the faces for sure, and some variety in the brows. Arms and shoulders don't seem to keep pace with the torso ballooning when the phenotype slider is moved to the right. Maybe an option for a face covering, so we can just look like ninjas if we don't find anything we dig hehe

I'm usually happy with presets that are lighter on detail as long as the basics are covered, but the options for now feel pretty limited. Hopefully more zots go into it.

Characters seem fine to me or at least passible if not touched again. I'd vote for more beard options, human males get one and dwarf males get two (off the top of my head).

Additional options would be piercings, scars, and tattoos.
