Hey all, could use some help.
I'm stuck on the return to the library for the magister's amulet quest. Found three runes to step on but the fourth isn't popping up, no doors opening, what am I doing wrong?
Edit: Figured it out. It's bugged but I can't figure out why. I quit and went back to earlier save and it was okay. Just reloading old saves after I got the quest didn't do anything.
I am stuck on it as well, I found two of the circles.
I think I ran into this known bug:
" In Tower of Magic, if you do the "Research the Crown" side quest before the "Magister's Amulet" side quest, the puzzle of "Magister's Amulet" side quest won't work. To fix it, simply leave Tower of Magic and return there later."
But leaving and returning didn't work. What did work was loading from an earlier save where I accepted the Magister Amulet and Research the Crown at the same time and did the amulet first.
I did the leave and return later and the magic circles immediately came up. Thanks for posting that
This was my last quest in the current version and I got it after I had finished "Origin of the Crown". While in my first try I had the same issue with only 3 runes showing up, leaving the area completely (travelling to the next area and back) works for me fine. Don't know if it would be enough to leave and immediately reenter the area, but I guess that won't working..
I'm having an issue related to this quest, It allowed me to Misty Step once I was right besides the closed door (the one that you need to push all runes to summon the big rune with the orb and open it), the runes appeared, I've pushed all of them according to the quest, but once the rune+orb was summoned, the quest was stuck with "Activate the Fourth Rune" like forever, I even completed the quest, without noticing it was still there until I was checking my Journal and saw it. Check the following image, you can see all 4 runes over there, and also the rune+orb thingy to open the door.

I also had a similar problem. As written above - you need to reload the save, it helped me.
