Hi everyone. My first experience with RPGs was playing Advanced Dungeons and Dragons, 1st edition in 1979.  Wow, that was a long time ago!

A stranger is just a friend that you haven't met yet.

Hi Amanda! If it's not a problem for you could you say something about the 1st edition? By that I mean did you like that, how would you describe it as opposed to the later editions? I was always interested in the 1st one. Liked the old school basement feeling of the handbooks and art. Never managed to get them though. Wizards of the Coast re-released them on 2012 IIRC(afwuly expensive nowadays)

Hi there!

Like many here I'm a huge fan of turn-based tactical games in all shapes and forms: video games, tabletop miniature games, pen and paper role-playing games. I've spent a good chunk of my teen and student years (mid-90s - mid-00s) playing HoMM 2 and 3, the first two Fallout games and their Tactics spin-off for instance, as well as Warhammer Quest, Blood Bowl and Warhammer Fantasy (Skaven player here!) and a bunch of RPGs: Call of Cthulhu / Delta Green, Warhammer 1st edition, DND 3.5, Shadowrun... And well, I still do!

A couple of years ago my friends and I have founded a Steam group dedicated to PC turn-based games: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/tbtactics. If you like the genre, feel free to visit us.

Hi all. I first played D&D in1978. I was introduced to it by a musician friend of mine and loved it instantly. I never lost the thrill of playing those games. I haven't gotten to play a real table top "campaign" in many years but I do play video games. I had friends that moved on and apparently don't play games anymore. In fact one asked me " You still play those games?" I guess they have lost that "fun part" of their lives but I certainly haven't!

Hello, Amanda. Hello everyone.

I grew up playing AD&D since early '90s. So I have a passion for 2nd edition AD&D and developed a passion for the earlier editions. Hence why I am so eager to have Mystara back in 5th edition. There is a large active community of Mystara fans working for that to happen.

I played some of the 3rd edition, skipped the 4th edition and am back for the 5th edition.

Hello all,

I just purchased the game and am excited where it will go.  I'm pretty old school, going back to Basic D&D and 1st Ed AD&D.  I didn't get into computer game RPGs until the Baldur's Gate series and then NWN1&2.  Although I haven't played TT for decades, I've purchased all the D&D editions just to see how systems have evolved.  Of course, I played other systems as well but D&D always had a special place in my heart.

I'm hoping Solasta will bring back some of the old BG1&2 and NWN 1&2 vibes.  Those were great games with lots of replay value.

Hey there all just wanted to drop in and say hello

Hardcore D&d nerd here love it, breath it, all my dreams are coming to fruition with so man D&d games coming out and even i a high budget movie https://twitter.com/RottenTomatoes/status/1388954698334494722?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw..

Fell in love with Bladurs Gate (1st PC game owned), have never been able to get over that game. (my first love)

ToEE when it came out via Troika it was bug littered unplayable at times, but the mod community turned it into something else.I went back years later and played it and thoroughly enjoyed it. Finding Solasta and playing it reminded me of the enjoyment the second time round of playing ToEE, Solasta is a beautiful game and holds true to alot of those old school early days of table top (WoG, AD&d) with the rituals, resting system (long) ect. All these memories come flooding back of me and my mates holding sleepovers to table top all night and day, all weekend, disappearing and re-appearing only for food.

There is a base for a great game here and hoping TA will add to it in the future, for your first game Kudos to you all, beautiful work guys.

I cannot wait for the release in May and have stopped playing it so i don't spoil it for myself.
