Few usability / UI suggestions for the inventory

- make it more obvious when a character cannot use an item (or a scroll) directly in the inventory (so one can see immediately which items do not fit this character). It could be a greyed-out icon.

- make items which are not usable at all (not a weapon/armor/magic item/quest item/... only good to sell) more obvious in the inventory, perhaps adding gold pieces indicator on them...

- make items like books / notes with content to read more obvious, and ensure they differ from books / notes one cannot read (which exist in the game for some obscure reason)

- add filters to inventory so one can show only one type of items (ingredients / weapons / armors / etc...)

- in loot dialogs, please stack items of the same type (money, arrows, etc...)

- never automatically equip a new item on a character (this is still the case)

Auto equipping is terrible

Add an option to favorite items. They should appear at the start of the inventory. Never sell or drop them without a pop-up window for confirmation. Equipping a favorited items shouldn't remove this flag.

Make a shortcut from the scrolls to the description of the spell.

Option to sort items by weight.

Sort raw materials by type: potion/poison, scroll, weapon, magic item.

Also the attunement window is a mess. It would be clearer to see items that are equipped on a hero or attuned to them and not all of the items.

All good suggestions, but especially this one!  Auto-equipping is a terrible idea.  Not even sure why this is in the game.  But it should be disabled by default and an option to enable in the Game Settings (for anyone that actually thinks this is a good idea).

The Attunement button should only show up for characters that have an un-attuned item in their inventory (or a currently attuned item so they could un-attune it).  Having it always show up for all 4 characters is confusing when only one character has the item to be attuned in their inventory.

It is for convenience, so the player who forgot to move an item to the proper character before attunement does not have to cancel their Long Rest (wasted time).  The attuned item is then auto-equipped.

I find it works well.  And even with 20 items that can be attuned, I can't say I was confused at all.  I could see the three a character was using currently, and the others that were unattuned.  You can un-attune any, and then have another character attune.  Some of the suggestions here make it more rigid and cause other forms of confusion and errors, while the current system is very functional and flexible in practice.  The only confusion possible is the number of items you can carry around, but even then... It is really confusing to see character #1 has attuned to X1, X2, X3, and here are 5 items that are available un-attuned (with hover descriptions) and 8 items that are attuned to other characters.

At best/worst, there could be an option (off by default) to only show items the character has in inventory or equipped, ideally just a filter next to the attunement window so the system maintains its current user-friendly flexibility so the player does not have to cancel a Long Rest.

It's a terrible mess. Either I take notes on which items to attune to who, or I do one rest per hero.
