Now i can't talk to him again or do anything with the 3 sets of bones. If the quest is not possible after failing an attempt to intimidate him, shouldn't we at least be able to drop the bones we find?

For the role-play, would be cool if Angbi reacts again if you bring him back his bones. Meaning he would then become cool again.
