things I tried to work around:

1) switched from Ultra to very low graphics (custom, turning everything off) to change what effects are present

2) removing all character light sources (torches, candles, Paladin Oaths that make lighted weapons)

3) putting all those back so that hopefully they would all be present


no change, I always get the same exception on unload of the location

this issue happens even after save/restart/restore so the saved state is bad
