Embrace Elements Does Not Work On Elemental Clerics (Lightning)

My Clerics were Hill Dwarf Clerics of Lightning and when struck with lightning damage it would ask if I would like to use embrace elements, but when I did it, both for friend or foe, it didn't do anything instead just applying the normal resistance to lightning. Also the wording needs to be rephrased on the ability to denote that it is once per day, as it reads right now it seems like you could use it on all reactions.
