Absolutely love they added my favourite Species/race from 5e! And with tails! I do have one issue… and honestly it’s been there since 5e. Why do dragonborn not have Darkvision? They are a draconic race/species…. It says they have the best of both worlds.. nope! Lol every other dragon kin gets it I believe?! It’s not a huge deal. Plus the lack of natural armour from having skin comparable to or even better than lizard folk(element resist).
But don’t let that detract from the fact I love that they are playable now!
Agree! I am playing a Dragonborn (Gold) Paladin (Oath of the Motherland). Having fire breath as a power 1/short rest is very cool. And thematically, Oath of the Motherland goes very well with Fire Dragonborn. And for additional flavor, I took Burning Touch as my feat at 4th level, doing additional fire damage once per round. Enjoying the heck out of it so far!
My only issue is the breath weapon is shorter than shown. It has the same range as Burning Hands (3 cell cone), and it looks like it will hit targets 3 cells away (highlighted red), but it doesn't actually damage them. Not sure if this is a bug or not in the range calculation at the edge of the 3 cell cone.
