Same issues as the last few posters. I am 90+ hours into the main campaign, and was traveling from Bitterroot’s treasure map to the Fortress of the Shield when I got the corruption message and stuck on load screen. After trying everything else that was recommended (never used mods, dropped graphics to nothing, etc.) I uninstalled game and tried to reinstall. Tried, because now I get a “local version corrupted” message on install and it dies at 92%.
Yes, can confirm this. Fortress of Shield. Central teleport exit -> crash. Confirmation of the steam files done. nothing changes. Looks like the update messed something up. We still got 2,5h good hours today and had fun :-) very pleased by the gameplay loop and fights.

None of these things(short of reinstalling because with my sus 'net it'd take weeks like last time & I'm not doing that again) have fixed my issue. Sticks on load screen when my party travelling enters the Fortress of the Shield(Crown Campaign), then gives me the error message which sends me here. https://forums.solasta-game.com/forum/data-corruption-what-to-do-if-youre-stuck-in-infinite-loading-screens Not sure what to try elsewise. I went back to and older savefile and replayed things with same results. First hung up last night, and I'm just figuring I'll have to restart the whole campaign which sucks...

This (stuck loading Fortress of the Shield, I long ago finished that questline and activated the gate).
Something is wrong when you re-visit that location after that. No other issues playing the game - so this is a heartbreak.
Same issue as well. I have tried coming to the Fortress of the Shield from multiples other locations and from different save files - all result in the same crash. The video settings edit suggest did not help.

I use GOG/PC and ran the 'Verify/Repair' option (which I assume is similar to the Steam repair option), however this has not addressed the issue.
I have no patches installed.
I also tried turning off shadows, but unfortunately this did not resolve the issue either.
I am running version 1.3.53. I believe this patch was recently installed.
Can you please advise if you are aware of this issue and if there is a fix planned?

Can we get an acknowledgment that this is being addressed, or are we all just yelling into the empty void? I haven't seen any response from the devs.
ever since the new patch i cant enter any other areas without load screen error, I've uninstalled and verified files, done everything youve said, nothing worked, need a fix or my money back.

A fix has has been released on the beta branch of Steam that has a fix for the Fortress Of Shield issue.
the beta 1.3.55 also fixes the problem with crashing on leaving the mines.
I too am having that problem while trying to get to the 3rd floor in the fortress of the shield. Good to know a beta patch is up on steam but I don't think I have that option on xbox... probably means I'm stuck there until they do the actual update for that. I even tried a fresh install and new game to try to get past that, but it didn't work.
If this is suggested above - sorry - I'm not reading all this just to find out a solution I already worked out...
I've just been having the same problem getting Fortress of the Shield to load (I was at the "going to ask for a refund" stage - if it don't work I want my cash back)
Then I hit on the idea (not in the main how to fix topic at the start of this thread) of trying the beta - and it worked.
It would have saved a LOT of anguish if after the turn off volumetric lighting etc thing they'd suggested trying the beta
I assume that the recent DLCs broke something in the base game
If you're having this problem and can't get it to work at least try the beta to see what happens - if your copy is broken installing the beta can't really hurt and it could fix the issue (as it did for me)
Yes, the beta has a fix specifically for the Fortress Of Shield issue but the beta was only released yesterday. It also contains some other fixes that haven't been fully tested which is why they have only been released on the beta branch.

I have the same problem, fortunately I was just going through this location so I didn't get stuck. Beta update solves the problem and the game loads correctly.
