ok i have found light and heavy crossbows. I have found and made many nice bolts with effects(same available for arrows for bows). I have found or made +1 and or +2 short and long bows, I have recipes for other short and long bows.
I have not found a magical crossbow of any sort (light or heavy), nor have i found that I can buy or found...any recipe to make a magical crossbow. I DO NOT THINK THE EXIST IN GAME!!
I really think they managed to leave out magical crossbows, while including multiple magical short and long bows. My advise make your cleric the elf with wis bonus so you can use a short and long bow, not another race where you have a non magical crossbow....
I didn't see any magical crossbows either. Neither in the game nor in dungeon creator. No crafting recipes either. I wanted to play with dwarven marksman using crossbows but it will have to wait if there are no crossbows around.
Yeah, none so far. Or studded leather, hide, javelins, spears, darts, or any of the other things I think were later additions. Hopefully they catch up.
We need better magic weapon type distribution, now its very unbalanced. You might get +3 greataxe, but only +1 greatsword in game.
You can find +1 javelins. I found 3 in a very early random loot drop (+1 Javelins are also available in Dungeon Maker). I carried those 3 around the whole game. Was down to 1 by the end as you don't always get them back when you throw them. Only real strength-based ranged weapon.
I don't care if the distribution is unbalanced by random rolls. I just want to know that's the reason, and not an oversight.
Are people finding recipes for unique longbows? I didn't find any crafting longbow recipes in my playthrough and the only magic one I found was a +1 longbow sold by one of the faction merchants.
I found a recipe for Stormbow +1 Longbow with 1d10 Lightning damage. I am pretty sure it was random from a chest or container.

Wow. My Ranger would have loved that. Although she was already a killing machine so maybe that would have been just too powerful!

Yeah there was the merchants outside the library where you get the crown when you go back there. They have basically all the best crafting recipes in the game. The Stormbow, Dragonblade, Widowmaker, Axe of Punishment, etc. I'm pretty sure there's 2 different longbow crafting recipes there. One Stormbow +1 with 1d10 Lightning damage, and the Lightbringer bow that is +1 with 1d8 Holy damage. Plus they have a Shortbow crafting recipe there that does 2d4 or 2d6 poison or necrotic damage I think, I can't remember, but it's a good bow. I can't remember the name of the place, Mana... something.

i've found all of those things? i have darts coming out of my ears, i found studded leather just be before the fixed item +1 leather armor and i was like ok, i guess i'll sell the +1 leather armor

Just played through and, yes, no magic crossbows. I eventually switched my crossbow wielding character to a short bow.
any news if magic xbow in hotfix 1.0.22?

There is also no magical studded leather which is funny since the +1 leather armor is the same AC
yep, that is odd, i'm 7th level and everyone have magic armor except for my sneaky sneak who has the same studded leather from 2nd level. i just gained the ability to buy +2 leather but i'm like, why spend all that gold just for +1 AC
