prepared weapons for crafting seem to be random in most locations - I am in my third playthrough and only the locations are the same but the loot doiffers a lot...
but no prepared longsword for me....
They need a vendor (Arcaneum) with a "full inventory" of Primed Weapons. Also, it should restock like other vendors after 24-48 hours.
I never understood why devs would limit one weapon type (long sword, two handed sword, etc.), but make others massively available (dagger, short sword, etc.).
The darn things resell for under 50 gp, so this is clearly not economy breaking.
I've found a primed longsword at least once. In the Manacalon tower, where you go during the Academic background quest. I believe it was on the armour stand.
Not sure if it's a guaranteed or random loot though.
That must have been before the last patch I got my 3rd Primed Short Sword.
It should have been 1.0.18 (Internal), but I might be mistaken.
There was a vendor that sold all crafting recipes when the elf was in your party. Does anyone know if that was a one time vendor if I can find them again? I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find them. I was really hoping to get some more stuff crafted before end game. Anyway, any assistance here would be greatly appreciated!
There is a recipe vendor outside the Manacalon Ruins where you first encountered brain-washed cultists with the "A" tattoo.

I understand there are allegedly actual helms in the game (not intel/wisdom tiaras as I call them) useful to melee types, but I have yet to run across one as either loot or vendor items. Anyone have better luck then me in this regard, and if so what and where.
is there a google sheet of items/craft requirements yet?

Unfortunately I am still trying to figure out how to craft a magic item does it require a recipe like potions and poisons, or is there some other step I am missing?
Yes, you need:
- Craft recipe. Found throughout the game, and once you got the Crown, in the same location there will be a merchant at the excavation camp that sells them. Trades off Masgard's reputation;
I can't seem to find this trader. I'm quite a ways through the game, and I _think_ maybe I saw this trader once, but I just went back there to check, and there are about three soldiers, but no trader.
He's set up right near the Scavenger Representative at the Excavation site. One of the only "named" NPC's there.
