Combat and Doors

Please, for the love of all the gods, let us open and close doors DURING combat or at the very least let us LEAVE combat via stealth or distance. Preferably both open/close doors during combat AND be able to leave combat. It is ridiculous that I have to find out that I can't open and close doors during combat by trying to be clever and closing one before combat starts to split the enemies in half only to find that I am now stuck in combat forever and have to load a save. How has this gone overlooked and ignored for so long? This isn't the first time someone has brought it up!
