Chest in the middle of the library in the magic tower

I can not reach this chest, the party will not climb the ladder, levitate and fly doesn't work I simply can not get near it. Also minor graphic glitch when getting the crown the scroll that is found is never in the hand of the finder but just below it

I'm having the same problem. When I mouse over the ladder it switches to the up arrow but characters won't climb it and clicking at the top brings up the no path message.
