Can't complete "Shadow of the past" quest after doing the deal with Daliat

Shadow of the past quest doesn't complete after doing the deal with Daliat ("Plant the Document" can't complete and "Return to the Residence" does nothing)

It looks like you are supposed to interact with the butler, but when you do, the only option is to go to the residence.
