Cannot overlap props anymore :(

I have been working on a sizeable town map prior to the update, and was making some interesting building designs by overlapping different buildings. I thought that was a feature - and a clever one at that.

However, I just discovered with the update that "feature" has been removed. That limited variety in the towns significantly. Do you think that might be reinstated at some point?
