Can I play the game with an entire party of custom characters?

Hey all,

I had a question about the gameplay (sorry for posting here instead of just trying to google it, lot of buzz right now so I might have a rough time looking it up) - is it possible to play through the game with an entirely custom party? I make videos where friends craft their characters to be run through tactical RPGs, and tell stories around the gameplay as it develops - and I think Solasta would be a wicked good run. Often times games like these will have NPC party members as requirements for certain sections and stuff, so I was trying to poke around and see what the limitations are on things from that angle.

Thanks!

Actually, you have to build your party using premade characters or custom ones you built.  So if you want a full custom party, this is the game for you.  There aren't any permanent companions in the main game although from time to time you have one that travels with your party.

Also, this game does not feature multiplayer if that's what you are looking for.

Ah, nah, not looking for multiplayer - people like seeing their creations hurl fireballs and fall into pits, so I just take their ideas and go throw them to the proverbial bugbears.

Thanks for the info!

Yeah, that's lots of folks here, including me.  I like to build a party and throw them into the gauntlet.  I also suggest trying some of the player modules after the main campaign, as they may offer more challenge.

It's not only possible, it's the only way to play (and one of my favorite things about Solasta).  It's about a party of adventurers who are all equal members of the adventuring group (and player created).  No hero & companions here.

I made a group last night made up up a Cleric and three Wizards. So yes any combination you want and all mine are custom because I like getting the stats that I want.

You can but you'll be playing the EXACT same content, every time.  Nothing changes except the characters.

Not only is playing through with a Custom Party possible...

Its quite literally the ONLY way to play it. The game is designed around you designing 4 custom characters and playing them through as a party. There's no Hirelings or Henchmen NPCs joining you like in the Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter Nights 2. They are quite literally all your own PCs controlled and built by you.

Some NPCs can join, but you don't have access to their stats, gear, or level ups.
