Bug or just a puzzle I haven't figured out? (includes screenshot)

Hi all,

At the Lava River, if the Shed is north, then go to the far south. There is a chest all the way at the far south that I found by hacking through vegetation. However, the chest appears to be inside a stone archway and I can't get to it.
Is this a puzzle I haven't figured out? (If so, any hints are welcome.)
If not, then it's bugged.

Yeah, so I'm answering my own post. I figured it out. Just had to keep playing the game...

There's a later sidequest the return to the Lava Forest and retrieve the chest. You can't get it until then.
